Brooke and Doug are a great couple and I have enjoyed helping them remember their wedding day.  It is hard to believe that it has been over a year of planning that they have put in to their wedding but all of the hard work made for such a memorable day.   Congratulations again to the two of you.

When I was asked to photograph Andrea and John’s wedding I was so excited.  There wedding was going to be a small wedding of just the two of them at the Crathes Castle just outside of Aberdeen,Scotland.  Andrea explained to me that her family is actually from here and it seemed like a great way to add meaning to there wedding. 

We had planned originally to have the wedding on the beautiful grounds of the castle but as is the case for Scotland we had light rains so the wedding was moved into the castle.  Now worries though soon after the wedding ceremony the rains slowed down enough for us to go outside to create some memorable photographs.

Such a beautiful wedding day that was only surpassed by such a great couple.  The Tampa Yacht Club is such a fun place for a wedding reception and the guest certainly enjoyed dancing the night away.  Finally as the evening closed the guest said their goodbyes  and Lauren and Welty left by boat.

Technicals:  All black & white were taken with a Leica M7 with a Summilux 50mm 1.4, Voightlander 28mm 1.9 lens with Neopan 400, Kodak p3200 film.  Color film photographs were either from the Contax 645 with 80mm 2.0, Canon EOS N camera with a 50mm 1.2 lens with Fuji 400z and 800H film.  Digital images were with the Canon 5d MkII with the 50mm 1.2 lens.

Their wedding was on halloween day but there was nothing scarry about it.  The wedding was held at the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the reception followed at the Avila Golf and Country Club.  It was a great wedding that was so much fun to photograph.

There wedding was a suprise to their families.  Soon after they told them they all went down to the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota for a beautiful wedding ceremony on the beach followed by a moonlight reception. 

This image speaks to what weddings are really all about.  One of my favorite images ever.

It was a beautiful wedding day for Nicole & Pram.  The wedding was at St. Mary’s Church and the reception was at the beautiful Renaissance Vinoy in St. Petersburg.  All of the details were finely planned and it showed as the guests were ready to dance the night away.

I had the pleasure of being asked to photograph Abby and Sam’s wedding in Delaware last weekend.  It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding.  Their story is so beautiful…they met in Ghana when they were young.  Years later they are married.

What a beautiful wedding day in Maryland.  The wedding and reception overlooked the bay and was such a great site for the wedding.  Guest arrived from far and wide for the wedding and it was such a pleasure to  photograph their special day.

Just a note to everyone that the Florida West Coast Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (Which I am a member) will be having Sylvia Weinstock as a featured guest on September 21st.  If you are not familiar with her these are some of her clients:  Mariah Carey, Maria Maples, Eddie Murphy, Tom Arnold, Whitney Houston.  She is not known as “The Qeen of Cakes” for nothing.  I think you will find this event to be most enjoyable, especially if you are still planning your wedding cake.
